“Breaking the Chains of Worry and Anxiety” could not have come at a better time for me. I’m at a transitional part of my life, as I looked back at how far I’d come and wondering where I was supposed to go next, I was filled with fear, paralyzed even, not knowing what to do and scared I would make a wrong decision. Your book helped me break through that fear, to see my concerns for what they are and to look at them objectively, without so much pressure. It really helped me feel more comfortable and motivated to take steps forward.
This is such a great hands-on way to approach personal well-being because it combines wellness with faith. People are afraid to admit they have emotional, social, or mental anxiety. We are taught that faith can move mountains, so “surely our faith can cure or eliminate fear.” But HOW? I have never read anything with as much practical advice about getting out of my own head that also infuses faith as a way to help and motivate, rather than as an excuse to judge.
I would love to see this approach taught church-wide. Jocelyn Johnson, Dayton Ohio.
